This has happened to me forever and I've tried every solution I could find through searching, but none of them have worked.
When I'm playing Arma 2 CO, no matter WHAT I'm doing (SP, MP, mission, just walking around, etc.) the textures on everything will just flicker from the proper LOD to a really low quality one that might be good if I was 400m away instead of 10m. It gets really bad when my texture quality is set to anything above normal, might also be bad when my video memory is set to default (What should that be set to btw? I have 1GB GDDR5).

Anyone have a possible idea for a fix or have experience with this? I have heard it happens to ATI cards, I'm not sure though. Thanks in advance!

Here's my specs in case.

AMD FX-4100
AMD 5670 1GB (ASUS)
ASUS M5A97 EVO
8GB Mushkin -1600 RAM

Is this a possibility.

I would like to know if it is possible for map overlays. If any of you have ever been around the Blue Force Tracker. (which is what our maps remind me of) you know that we can create and save map overlays with different POI's and things like that drawn on and saved. Then we can just pass them to others.

I know that this is SEMI possible but it takes time at the begginning of every mission to sit there and draw everything up and pass it to everyone. I would lilike to see this IF POSSIBLE done prior to missions and saved so we can just blast them out to the different elements quickly.

Mabey not possible but thought I would ask you mission guru's!

THANKS GUYS!

For example, the 1st Special Operations Wing has a genie lamp with a sword embedded into the top with wings on the handle of it. Plus I'm sure the colors and format of the whole insignia serves a representative purpose, I was just curious to know what it was.

And it'd be awesome if we could get a little history lesson on all the unit's insignias, if someone knows them that is.

Well, finally got everything downloaded and installed, but I'm running into some issues with the game starting... It starts, but it always says:

"Addon ace_anims requires version 1.6 of application."

This is just before the game opens up fully and then it starts and then says on the main menu:

"No entry
'bin\config.bin/CfgVehicles/ACE_RUCK_Box_Base.scope'."

Then when I try to load a map in Armory to try and test out if it'll work, the loading screen freezes up on the ACE splash screen with the bar halfway full...

How do I go about fixing this?

I had just finished installing ACE and the other mods that Six Update installs for me (minus the USSOCOM mod pack) and now I am using Yoma to install the USSOCOM mod pack files, but for some reason the download is going very VERY slowly. Is that normal or is something wrong?

I normally get at least 2 Mb/s when download so this is kind of throwing me off. For example, when downloading ACE through Six Update, the download was going at about 1.5 Mb/s and downloading ARMA 2 Combined Ops. from Sprocket was going at around 2 Mb/s.

It's not a serious issue, but something that's been bothering me I suppose. Plus I'm impatient to throw on all these mods and jump onto the USSOCOM server!
